Write to Karl Loren -- he will answer
Source: Individual eMail Messages
This page presents eMail messages between me and various people. Generally these are people who have strong opinions on my many pages about "hopeless" diseases.
If you "have" one of these hopeless diseases, you sure don't want to believe that I am right in how I describe it.
Yet, your only HOPE is to recognize that the medical model creates the hopelessness of these diseases because research is all going toward drug-oriented therapies.
Oh, you will find token references to diet or life-style changes, but on the other hand you will also find the psychiatrists lurking around the edges, ready to help you with your feeling of hopelessness -- with a prescription for an anti-depressant. Once you start down that path you are doomed.
Once you get very far down that path it is so irreversible that you have not much choice but to defend the decision you made. You had no hope!
The psychiatrist told you that Prozac, or some other anti-depressant, could help. That was a lie. But, you believe it.
Now you have a terrible problem. You had, first, some real disease, for which the doctors have no clue and no cure. But, that was the "thing" =-=- the "disease." At least you can be comfortable with the fact that it "happened to you." You didn't do it to yourself.
But, once you make your own decision to believe the doctor about anti-depressants, and start taking them, the original disease pales into insignificance in reference to you.
You did not cause it! You did cause yourself, or worse, your loved one, to take a very harmful drug.
Your natural reaction, then, to someone like me is to rail against me, to tell me that I am the problem, trying to cast doubts on the good doctors.
Even if you are not tricked into taking the anti-depressant, you still have to defend your decisions to go with whatever experimental drugs are offered. Once you have made these choices, you would have to admit that you were wrong, and that the "good" doctors were wrong.
Man is not built that way. He finds it easy to make others wrong -- by criticizing me, for instance, and he finds it easy to make himself right -- even when he is not.
It takes great courage to look at truth.
I am not at all surprised when people defend their drug-oriented view of remedies, and attack me -- not at all.
Perhaps others would hold back on their presentation of their own view of reality? I do not. So, I do create some enemies. I suspect that those who call me the enemy are mostly sick and hopeless cases, themselves.

Subject: How sadLegg Calve' Pethes is not a hopeless disease and we would make much better strides if more people like you weren't out there saying otherwise. Funny because other countries have made great strides. It certainly isn't something they would prescribe anti depressants for. My son is seven years old, has never been on anything yet. And the docs don't suggest anything but children's advil. Get your facts straight. I'm sure if you had a child afflicted with this horrible disease, you would feel otherwise. Just remember, it wasn't too long ago when breast cancer was a death sentence, not anymore. Why? Because of research and trial and error!
I don't expect people like you to use your real name.
